Great read, nice to know I’m not the only one to have noticed this phenomena. I’ve found most people’s memory to be appalling of late, has to be something to do with their attention spans being decimated by technology
For sure, I know I’m not as mentally sharp myself as what I used to be. But thankfully not as bad as the others I mentioned, I have had numerous scenarios were someone will tell me something and repeat it again 20 mins later having forgotten what they’ve already told me 🤦
You name so clearly how fractured attention isn’t just annoying, it’s eroding the kind of interior stillness a soul needs for depth, beauty, and God, and my whole body nodded reading that.
This is exactly the rupture I work with at the level of the nervous system helping people reclaim the capacity to sit with one thought, one face, one prayer long enough for real presence and creativity to return.
And that’s exactly what our society has become.
Yeah, it's sad. But there's always a way back 🙏🏻
Using phones during something like a meal should be frowned upon!
I'm terrible at this but I agree

It's truly baffling. Worst of all, I have noticed my own memory and attention suffering greatly. We are all being affected by this

Wowww. May the Lord help us
Amen
There's so much to say about this incredibly important reflection, but ALL I can say (the only thing that matters TO say, is): Thank you.
Thank you for reading and for the kind words brother 🙏🏻 Glad you found the article useful
