Over the last couple of months, in the health and vitality sphere of the internet, there’s a lot of products that have been popularized and become mainstream for their alleged benefits regarding overall health, muscle building properties, and so on. One product that has become incredibly popular is mastic gum.
The main reason why people started promoting it was due to its supposed efficiency in improving your facial aesthetics by chiseling your jawline. After it started becoming more and more commonly known, it became clear that the improvement on facial aesthetics was just one of many, many benefits that mastic gum yields —more on that later.
Excited for what seemed a magical product to improve both the structure of your face and the overall health of your digestive system, I decided to get some gum and start chewing. I needed to try it out myself, just to make sure this wasn’t one of the many scams you see online. The results? See for yourself.

Mastic gum clearly works incredibly well in chiseling your jawline. After seeing the insane results, I was completely hooked, but I faced one key problem. At that time, it was very difficult to get mastic gum, especially in America. And the brands you could get your hands on were of very questionable quality.
That’s where Greco Gum comes in.
What Is Greco Gum?
Greco Gum is a high quality brand of mastic gum, which is a natural resin harvested exclusively from the mastic tree (Pistacia lentiscus var. Chia tree), on the Greek island of Chios. This distinct tree and its resin have been cherished in Greece and Mediterranean cultures for their medicinal and culinary properties for more than 2,000 years, even though they’ve only recently become mainstream.
Mastic gum has been shown to contain antimicrobial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory compounds and properties that promote overall wellness.1
Some of these compounds are terpenes and polyphenols, which exhibit potent antimicrobial properties and help inhibit the growth of bacteria, fungi, and other pathogens, as well as essential oils, antioxidants, and resinous acids, such as oleanolic acid and masticadienonic acid, which have been shown to possess anti-inflammatory and immune-modulating effects.

Due to its many beneficial properties, mastic gum can be used for:
Oral health: mastic gum has natural antimicrobial properties, making it an effective tool for cleansing the mouth of germs and bacteria that can cause unwanted odors and bad breath.
Improving facial aesthetics: As seen in the picture above. But don’t just take my word for it, the science supports it.2 Try it, you’ll be surprised at how well it works.
Supporting gut health: By promoting a healthy gut microbiome—such as by inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria and helping beneficial bacteria (probiotics) to thrive—chewing mastic gum can contribute to digestive regularity and alleviate symptoms such as duodenal ulcers, ulcers caused by h.pylori infection, bloating, dyspepsia (stomach pain), and gas.3
Stabilizing blood sugar and cholesterol levels: Chewing mastic gum is one way to support healthy blood sugar and cholesterol levels. Research suggests that mastic gum can help regulate blood sugar levels by improving insulin sensitivity and reducing insulin resistance.4
Promoting hormonal balance (including testosterone production): Yes, really. Mastic gum has a high concentration of zinc, which is needed for enzyme reactions that help the body to make and maintain enough testosterone. The zinc found in mastic gum can also contribute to sperm and prostate health.5

Mastic gum has become one of my go-to esoteric health products, I chew it daily and have seen significant improvements in my face structure —obviously— but also in my gut and oral health.
