No Blackpills Allowed
Nihilism is for weak losers.
Sometimes I feel like this battle is futile, they hold too much power over all of us.
They had you enslaved since the day you were created. They told you what to do, where to go, what to believe, before you even had a conscience to make sense of it all. Is it possible to break such conditioning?
I now see that it is not. I am just as much a product of modernity as you, and everyone else around us. There is no way of escaping the influences we are bombarded with day after day, during our exile on this earth.
It might be possible to break some of the chains that bind us to this hellish time, but never will we reach the glory of those ancient men raised for war, raised by the sea, the land, and the mountains. Never will we equal our ancestors in wit, strength, and joy. Our potential has been stolen by their schemes, lies, and by this monstrosity they dare call “civilization”. We are too damaged, too manipulated, too misdirected.
There is spiritual salvation to be found in Christ, but physically and mentally, we must come to terms with the fact that we will never be the pinnacle of human development. We have regressed over the last centuries, and our ancestors look down on us with terrible shame. That is a fact that dawns upon whoever dares open his eyes, and leads many towards the black void of nihilism and existential despair.
That we will never reach the heights they did is, however, not enough reason to descend into nihilism and passively wait for death. We’re weaker than our ancestors, yes. We have to make an effort to be men, when for them it was the most natural thing in the world. Maybe we won’t ever reach the heights they did. But the least we could do is try. The least we can do, to honor their memory, is choose to be the best at every single thing we do, even if we know we’ll never come close to achieving the greatness and glory of the men who lived before us.
Your name will not be written in the history books. There’ll be no songs sung about you. You’ll be forgotten before your body is even cold. Those facts are more than enough to convince most men of the futility of it all, but I say this is but another reason to reject the mediocrity that the modern world offers.
What other choice do we have?
To waste away in weakness, never to see the view from the mountaintop, to come to the end of your life as just another passenger that let his entire life be decided for him?
Our time is not a time for heroes, but even then, maybe if we try our hardest to emulate those ancient men who were better than us, we will at least be remembered by those closest to us as men that stood out in an era where there were no longer real men.
Maybe if we give it our all we will be spoken about for a few years and maybe your children and grandchildren will remember you with pride, and your name will last some time after you’ve returned to the dust from whence you came.
That is the highest purpose that we can aspire to, and it’s more than enough to keep nihilism at bay.
Yes, life is tough. Yes, life is painful. Yes, there’s an evil shadow cast upon our world. So what?
What good does it do to complain about the darkness? What good does it do to become a nihilistic loser? How can you expect to turn the lights on in this dark, dark world if you have become an agent of the same darkness you so detest?
You can choose to maintain a spirit of faith and optimism throughout it all.
You can choose to be one of the few that still hope, that still trust the promises of Our Lord, and that still have the courage to bring light into the world.

I'm a new reader and first felt the surge of click bait on the title, however after reading the article feel largely disappointed if not angry.
"fact that we will never be the pinnacle of human development." Who said we would? is that the goal? did I miss something.
I think there's alot here there is modern and worldly. Being known in the history books? Again, is that the goal? I wish to be forgotten by all but remembered by One.
I do feel that dispair at times, but I'm quickly reminded that this is not our home and we're made for something else.
Cheers.
