This Is Why You Feel Like a Boy, Not a Man
Men need to grow up.
One of the gravest crises of our time is most men’s failure —or voluntary refusal— to grow up. Our world provides us with ample opportunities to cling to childishness, and whereas some decades ago it was impossible to do so, a man can now choose to never grow up, and like Peter Pan, live forever in Neverland.
How many men do you know who are excessively attached to cartoons? How many do you know who play childish video games? Who collect toys?
These “hobbies” are usually brushed off as harmless, but I believe they are symptoms of this great crisis of immaturity. While they are not necessarily what causes a man not to grow up (even though they can definitely add to that effect), they are symptoms that show a deeper problem: a character that hasn’t been fully developed.
I wrote about this topic some months ago, in what is one of my most successful articles to date. In it, I detailed three things which keep most modern men childish and immature.
In this article I want to get even more practical, and talk about 5 maturity thresholds I believe every boy should strive to cross to fully develop himself into a man. After that, I’ll give you a challenge and a quick protocol for character development.
