Thank you for this writing, brother. I greatly appreciate it and it come at a time where, retired from the Army at 40, I am trying to figure out what I want to be "when I grow up". God bless you and yours.
I think finding our calling can be a lifelong process, but it will always have an element of service in it. Glad you liked the article brother, God bless you and thank you from your service!
A few years ago when crypto had its full huge bull run, I'd made a LOT profit (on paper). My thoughts back then were about buying fast cars, a boat, maybe a plane. I had "diamond hands" all the way back down and those profits evaporated.
If that happened today, I'd be spending time thinking about what charities/people need financial support. Setting up a non-profit, funding missionary work, hospitals, schools.
I think God didn't lead me to cash out back then because I just wasn't ready.
"I think God didn't lead me to cash out back then because I just wasn't ready." This is SPOT ON. Many times I've wondered why God has made me wait for the "great riches" I desired when I was younger, and now I know that it's precisely because He knew I would have misused it.
Another great article and love how you two have come together because I read both of your articles at times. Also, for sharing the same purpose and goals to help and remind us about Catholic masculinity 👏🏾This was a good read not for myself, but for a few men that I believe will eventually convert to Catholicism hopefully within the next year or so. Two out of those few men are former Muslims and brothers who are wanting to convert to Catholicism. I recently gave them both Scott Hahn’s New and Old Testament Catholic Study Bible to even help them draw one step closer to their conversions and understanding of the Catholic faith. We’ll see what happens but this article will help me give me some ideas on what to say to them when/if they decide to convert and give their lives to Christ in the fullness of truth, because their lives and priorities will change as future Catholic men 👍🏾
Thank you brother! We are both the same person haha Simple Man is just my pen name.
I'll be praying for the men you mention in the hopes that they can come home to Christ! And glad you found the article useful as well. God bless you brother, keep fighting the good fight.
