This is a needed call in our comfort-obsessed age. We weren’t made to engineer the perfect life for ourselves, but to spend it for Christ and those He loves. The scars of sacrifice are far more beautiful than the plasticity of self-preservation that ends as dust and ash as well. May we choose Christ, His work, and a sacrificial life, and let our lives bear the marks of service to the King.

Well-said brother. May we all earn the scars of sacrifice by choosing Christ and the propagation of His Kingdom. Thank you for reading, appreciate you!

Very well said. Life should be Christo-centric and follow the path laid out in Matthew 25: feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the sick & lonely.

Amen brother. A life of service to others, especially those who need it most. Serving them is uncomfortable and difficult, and that's the point.

This is precisely what I needed to read at this hour, and how often must we be reminded of such goodly messages. Thank you. The article evokes a proverb my father says, how a person who does not suffer is mediocre.

"Una persona sin sufrimiento es un mediocre."

Glad to hear the article resonated David 💪🏻 Your father sounds like a wise man. Dios te bendiga hermano!

So that guy wants his son’s blood injected into his own veins?! He literally wants to take his son’s blood, inject it into his own veins, for “biohacking” purposes?! Make no mistake. There’s a much older word for what that is, and that word is “vampirism”!!🧛🏻‍♂️

Here's the life story of a fitness guy who was not narcissistic, but gave his all through all of his life.

"Yet the bravery I personally appreciate most in Hodgson is not the physical one, but the spiritual, because that is so much rarer."

I think it is important to note that concern for personal health and wellness can never be better than first or at the center of one's life. As I can personally attest, both will someday evaporate from what had once been regarded as some of the most righteous concerns of life. When more superficial concerns have gone by the wayside, our God will hopefully no longer be regarded as the object of a mere personal relationship, or constrained to be only at the center of our lives, or even merely first. If the exercise of the graciousness of our God and sanctity have been at work in us, the concerns of God alone, for His sake alone will have long before overtaken even our most "righteous" expressions of self concern since this one disposition is required, if for nothing else, for attainment of one's unique Sainthood and for our entry into Heaven.

Thank you for this post that pushed all the right buttons for me. It is just so easy in the moment to forget that the Savior embody was not merely unselfish but consummately selfless in every respect with regard to our Father and to us.

I think you should move to that beach town! If you can still do your duties there… Life is too short not to live it the way we hoped it would go when we were kids 🤸‍♀️🖍️🎨

Yeah I get what you mean, but it’s like I said in the article: I need to be where I’m more useful to God’s plan, regardless of my own comfort

I’m biased because I grew up & live in a Caribbean beach town. Despite expectations, “comfort” doesn’t come with the label. For all you know, you’ll be a missionary. But I understand we are to impact our locality and not run from our community 🙏🏻

Amen, a very well Said.

Truth is often a hard pill to swallow. Yet you absolutely have Spoken Truth. I am grateful and Thankful to God for sending Your words to me. God Absolutely Does answer Prayers and is Ever Faithful to those of us who call on His Name. "Ask, and it will be giving, Seek, and Ye shall find" God Is Good!

Life is certainly not easy at times. And it seems just about the time we think we've got it made, It has a unique way of humbling us and bringing us back down to the ground.

To fight the Good Fight, to live humbly before God, and to find the Courage to Witness to others God's word. It's that Courage I hope and Pray for. To do and be what God calls me to be.

I am grateful for Your work and words of encouragement my friend.

And even more so, Grateful for you Courage in Christ Jesus Our Lord and Savior.

Thank you.

God bless you Kevin!
