As someone in a very similar situation, simply compare your reaction and disposition to ponderances on different vocations. Can you make yourself tear up imagining a scene of you reminiscing in memories of a wife who tragically died? Have you ever been compelled to learn about the duties and opportunities of a priest or monk as you are to get into articles like these about becoming a husband and father? Etc., etc.
And be honest with yourself: Comparing one life to the other, which one would you REALLY rather have if you had the choice?
