5 Attachments Making you Effeminate
And how to combat them.
I recently posted an article titled “This is Making you Effeminate”, in which I went over 3 significant attachments of the modern man that make him effeminate in nature. As it’s a good introduction to this article, I recommend you read it first.
After seeing the success of the aforementioned article, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into the topic of effeminacy and share another 5 attachments that can make you effeminate.
What effeminacy is and how it manifests practically is explained in-depth in the linked article, so for the full context, read that one first and then come back to this one:
Without going into detail, effeminacy is basically a sort of spiritual “softness” in which the actions of a man are determined not by morality, values, or principles, but by that which is easier and most comfortable.
Another thing that motivated me to write this follow-up article is the fact that I’m reading a biography of St. Francis of Assisi, and one trait that I admire from the great Saint is his total detachment from earthly things, a virtue extremely powerful to combat effeminacy. Detachment is what allows a man to do what’s right, regardless of what earthly things he might forfeit as a consequence.

The attachments I’ll discuss in this article won’t be the obvious vices the modern man fights against (social media, junk food, p*rnography, and so on). Not because these aren’t damaging, but because they are obvious and have been frequently spoken about. The 5 attachments I want to describe are much deeper and more difficult to recognize, since they require great awareness to be seen and a strong willpower to detach from them.
So what are these 5 attachments?
