15 Things That Masculine Men Never Do
These go against what we stand for.
These all go directly against virtue. Let’s get right into it: here are 15 things that a masculine man never does.
Burden his woman: A real man protects his woman even from his own burdens. This doesn’t mean a true man can’t share his preoccupations with his wife, but it does mean it’s not right to use her as an emotional shield or expect her to be the one who makes the tough decisions. You are the one in charge of leading your relationship and your family, and it’s your responsibility to provide order and security.
Lie to themselves to feel better: Masculine men face the truth, even when it hurts. They are willing to take a deep look at themselves and admit their mistakes. Nothing less than complete honesty suffices.
Neglect their bodies and call it “spiritual”: Being a man of faith is not a reason not to work on your physical fitness. We are not merely spiritual beings, but also physical ones, and our role on earth requires us to develop holistically, which includes putting time and effort into developing our bodies.
Waste their strength on petty battles: True wisdom requires knowing which battles to fight and which ones to ignore. A man doesn’t let his competitive spirit lead to him fighting meaningless battles, and he lets reason govern his actions, not mere emotion.
Consume what degrades their soul: Masculine men guard their eyes, ears, and heart. They understand that the music they listen to, the movies they watch, and the people they talk to all have an effect on who they are, and so they stay vigilant and avoid degenerate things.
